The Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schemes is a Commonwealth Government initiative which provides up to $1,000 for basic dental care to:
Children aged between the ages of 2 and 17 years
Children belonging to a family that receives Family Tax Benefits
The Child Dental Benefit Scheme covers:
Dental check-ups and cleans
Fissure sealants
Fillings
Dental X-rays
Extractions
Root canals
